Bee Friendly Beehive Adoption Program For Individuals

Do you have a passion for nature and concerned about the impact we have on it and how interact with all living things? Perhaps you have always wanted to become a beekeeper but just don’t have the space or time to commit? Here at Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm, we understand the important relationship between humans and the natural environment and how it is mutually beneficial for us and so important that we foster that relationship in a healthy manner. Adopting a beehive full of live buzzing bees will allow you to feel you are doing something that really matters to preserve nature. Honey bee colony adoption will help this amazing species thrive. The European Honey Bee (Apis Mellifera), plays a very important roll in pollination and food security. Adopting a hive with Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm, will provide an opportunity to directly support your local bee population.

About Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm

Just Bee Cuz Honey Farm was established in 2018. Gardening and pollinators have always been a passion of ours. It was only natural that when we secured a suitable location and the time was right, that we acquired our colonies and began our very interesting journey into the exciting world of beekeeping. We follow sustainable, and best practices in the industry. We operate our apitourism experiences, and tours in a zero waste manner. We give the highest quality of care and attention to all of our colonies. We promote educational awareness and  your adoption will allow us to continue to do so while we develop new ways to increase awareness in our community.

A Farm Tour, Naming Rights, and 3KG of Fresh Raw Honey

When you adopt a colony this season, you and a friend will have an opportunity to visit our apiary for a one hour tour. You will get suited up in PPE, learn about bee biology, life in the hive, and even have their photo taken holding a frame full of buzzing bees if you are brave enough. As an added bonus, you will also receive six jars (500g each) of fresh raw honey. We can also donate your honey to a local food bank if you are not local and cannot visit our apiary for pick up.

You will receive a certificate of adoption and you will have the opportunity to name your Queen Bee.

Be Friendly Hive Adoption Program cost $400 plus HST per year. More info about the program (PDF).
