Update from the farm

Hello to everyone, I am so excited now that 2026 is here. Immediately following the Christmas holidays, it is not unusual for beekeepers to get hyped about the upcoming season. It will only be about 75 days before I know how all of my girls managed over the winter. By the end of January, I am out in my bee shed checking on equipment and seeing which boxes need a fresh coat of paint. I like to clean up my queen excluders while it’s still cold because the wax and propolis come off the wire frames much easier.
We will be loading our dates for tours and experiences onto our website by the end of January. We will still be hosting special event days like World Honey Bee Day in August, and we are going to try something new this spring and offer a Bee Creative Workshop Day. We often have people ask us how we make all of the beautiful items in our shop and now we are going to share some of our secrets. This day will be all inclusive and will include a beeswax and honey soap making workshop, a beeswax candle making workshop, a beeswax food wrapper workshop, and a fused glass workshop where you will create a lovely votive holder. It will be an artisan camp day with farm charm and include a charcuterie style luncheon. Watch our Instagram posts for registration information. We will once again be hosting our very popular fused glass workshop again prior to Valentine’s Day at the Belleville Shrine Club.
Our cozy shop can be open anytime by appointment. We will be open most Saturdays noon – 4 pm but if you want to pop out any day or evening just message me and we can arrange something to suit your schedule.
We hope to see you soon!
Bee Happy
Sincerely
Frances
